Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 28, 2026

PostVomit™ ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use PostVomit, we collect:

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Third-Party Services

PostVomit uses the following third-party services to operate:

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3a. AI Memory & Profile Data (Peevy)

Peevy is PostVomit's AI coaching tool. If you use Peevy, we store a structured memory profile in your account to make conversations more useful over time. This includes:

This memory profile is also shared with yveeP (the support-side version of Peevy) when you use it, since both draw from the same underlying data.

At the end of each session, a summary of the conversation is generated by Anthropic's Claude API and written to your profile. The "How Peevy Sees You" view synthesizes this stored data into a readable narrative — it is AI-generated and reflects patterns observed in your usage, not a verified factual record.

Your controls: You can turn memory off entirely using the toggle in Peevy settings. You can edit or delete individual items (About You, any session summary, any pinned item) at any time. You can also erase all Peevy memory at once using the "Forget everything" option. When memory is disabled, no new data is written and Peevy operates without context from past sessions.

If you delete your account, all Peevy memory data is deleted along with it.

3b. Peevy Chrome Extension

The Peevy browser extension lets you use PostVomit features — Polish, Repurpose, Expand, Peevy Chat, and Save Snippet — directly from any webpage. Here's exactly what it does and doesn't do with your data.

What it reads from web pages: Only the text you've explicitly selected when you invoke a feature. The extension is dormant until you activate it — it does not read page contents passively, monitor what you're browsing, or access anything you haven't highlighted and chosen to process.

What's sent to PostVomit servers:

What's sent to Anthropic: The text you're processing — same as submitting content on the PostVomit site. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API.

What's stored in your browser (via chrome.storage.local):

What's stored server-side: Usage credit tracking (same as the main site). For Creator+ plans, Peevy Chat session summaries may be written to your PostVomit memory profile at session end — same system and same controls described in Section 3a.

Why the extension requests access to all websites: The extension's core purpose is letting you select text on any webpage and process it with PostVomit. Limiting access to a fixed list of domains would break that. The permission grants the ability to read pages you visit, but the extension only reads the specific text you've highlighted when you explicitly invoke a feature — it does not scan pages in the background.

What the extension does not do:

Your controls: You can disable the extension on any specific site from the extension popup. Signing out via the popup clears your local auth token and chat history immediately. Peevy Chat memory (Creator+ and above) can be managed or erased entirely from your PostVomit profile settings — see Section 3a for details.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal identifying information (name, email address) will be removed and your account will be deactivated. Anonymized usage records — such as generation counts and activity history — may be retained for internal analytics and product improvement. This data cannot be used to identify you once your account has been deleted.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

For Peevy memory data specifically, you can edit, delete, or clear your entire profile directly within the app without contacting us — see Section 3a for details on those controls.

To exercise any other rights, contact us at support@postvomit.com.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

PostVomit uses browser local storage to maintain your login session via Supabase. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

7. Children's Privacy

PostVomit is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of PostVomit after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
